An Elmira man was sentenced to more than a decade in prison after his conviction on federal drug trafficking charges. U.S. District Judge Charles J. Siragusa this week sentenced Shawn E. Urbaniak, 43, to 12 years in prison following his conviction for possession with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine and possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Siragusa also ordered Urbaniak to forfeit $5,311 in seized U.S. currency, and numerous seized firearms and rounds of ammunition.
